gnome-session-bin software package provides GNOME Session Manager - Minimal runtime, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gnome-session-bin
gnome-session-bin is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gnome-session-bin package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gnome-session-bin *
You will get with gnome-session-bin package name, version, architecture and description in a table
